Find the Body Home

I wrote but didn’t publish poems the past few days.

Stop. Breathe.
You have time.
You don’t need
to put everything
down all at once.
You don’t need to
live everything
all at once.

Find quiet pleasure
in the feeling of
your breath swelling
then ebbing out of
your chest, knowing
you have your body
to come home to.

burn it all down now
the anchors tied to your feet,
the harbor you made.
